A lot of elderly people want to stay at home and even discuss talking about dying in the comfort of their own home. This is entirely possible when receiving live in care. At The Dragonfly Care Company, we are happy to support our clients and carers where possible to have palliative care at home, offering both physical and emotional support.

 

A live in carer allows the client to take comfort in the little things like having a book read to them, whilst also being able to liaise with health professionals and community staff when the time comes to receive medical support at home. Having a carer living in the home who can open the door to the district nurses or contact them if the client needs extra pain relief can be a huge benefit. Knowing someone who has the knowledge and often the experience of end of life sitting with you or your loved one is a great support and comfort.
